Meruelo's Municipality is in the north of Spain, on the oriental coast of Cantabria and closely together of the beaches mas tourist like it are those of Noja, Isla or Laredo. It is far 40 Km from Santander.
Meruelo's Town hall includes the localities of San Miguel, his capital; San Mamés, residence of illustrious lineages, and San Bartolomé or Vierna, splendid natural space which beauty him makes alike the villages of mountain with his hills and hills, promontories and abrupt zones that reflect the transition between the coast and the mountain chains of the south of the region.
To come, the exit takes 185 (Beranga / Meruelo / Island / Noja) of the Highway A8 Santander - Bilbao, there continues direction Noja approximately 5 km, up to coming to San Mamés's rotunda. There continue for the left side, direction Meruelo.
Once in the center of the village (near the Town hall) continue direction Güemes up to finding the detour to San Bartolomé of Vierna. Increase this road during approximately 2,5 km up to coming to the village, where one finds Güelo's Fountain.
